Handmade in 18-karat yellow gold and diamonds and featuring signature Harwell Godfrey geometric engraved details, sold as a pair. While made specifically for the Allen shirt, they are fully detachable and can be worn with other pieces.  

We are excited to announce a brand new collaboration between fine jewelry designer Harwell Godfrey and Nashville-based leather brand SAVAS that debuted at an intimate event at the SAVAS flagship on Wednesday, October 21. 

In honor of Harwell Godfrey’s newest collection, GOLD RUSH — celebrating the spirit of a legendary era through Western-inspired 18k gold talismans rich with symbolism — designer Lauren Harwell Godfrey created a set of button studs and collar tips to embellish the newest signature SAVAS Allen shirt in denim. 

“I love the idea of blurring the lines between Western dressing, formalwear and fine jewelry,” explains Lauren. “SAVAS' Allen shirt is already a refined take on the denim shirt, and I wanted to explore what happens when you treat it with the same sense of occasion as a tuxedo. Gold and diamond button studs and collar tips bring that idea to life. It feels right at home in my Gold Rush collection, and I love that you don’t need a special occasion to wear it.”

Crafted from 9.9 oz. Japanese cotton denim, each Allen shirt ($595 retail) is cut and sewn in Los Angeles with iconically placed selvedge detailing that honors the integrity of the cloth. Every piece is individually hand-aged by one artisan through a 25-minute mapping and fading process. This careful technique draws out natural points of movement and light across seams and edges. The shirt is then rinsed to achieve a supple, broken-in feel while preserving the strength and structure of the denim. 

“A design principle of SAVAS is to balance refinement with an element of handmade grit,” says SAVAS designer Savannah Yarborough. "This perfect balance brought levity to The Allen Shirt, with diamonds and gold. As fans of each other's work, we brought the spirit of our aesthetics to familiar adornments of childhood memories, but turned up to 11.”
