I launched my first Charity Heart during the pandemic in 2020 and over the years we added 5 more to the collection, but this seventh one is very different. This is the first time we launched a heart to fund a need with such urgency and time sensitivity. When I decided to release this heart to support the LAFD in their fight to defend Los Angeles from these terrible fires, I reached out to my showroom For Future Reference. Randi Molofsky, the founder, and Mark Davidovich, the sales director, are both based in LA so I sought their guidance on where the money could best be used. They suggested the Los Angeles Fire Departments Wildfire Emergency Fund which needed immediate funding for supplies on the ground. I am so grateful to Randi and Mark, who were both evacuated from their homes just hours later, for taking the time to help me nuance this idea. Within minutes we posted it and treated it like an auction with just a 4 hour window for people to bid on a very special limited edition Charity Heart in 18k yellow gold and diamond pavé. Thankfully we had an amazing response and received a high bid of $11,000 and were able to donate immediately. As I write this, the fires are still burning in LA, so if there is anyone else who wants to buy one of these hearts (we will be numbering them all), I am making them available to purchase for one week at the same price as our top bid of $11,000 with 100% of profits going to the LAFD wildfire emergency fund.

This heart pendant, like the others in this series, features my signature triangle motif placed over the heart in repetition to create what looks like a broken heart that has been put back together. The heart comes with a bail that opens and can clip on to a chain. The bail has two bars creating an equal symbol as a gesture of the unity we can achieve when we help each other.
